Making a Difference: Amicuslaw's Commitment to CSR
Corporate Social Responsibility
We acknowledge that running our business has an effect on society. In particular, we have a responsibility to our clients, our employees, and contractors as well as the broader community in which we operate.
We are committed to taking responsibility for our actions and encourage a positive contribution towards improving standards for our clients and employees, minimising our impact on the environment and improving the quality of the local community.
CHARITY OF THE YEAR 2024/2025
Westcountry Rivers Trust
We are proud to announce that our Charity of the Year for 2024/25 is the Westcountry Rivers Trust. For 30 years, this incredible organisation has been dedicated to restoring and protecting the freshwater environments of the Westcountry for the benefit of people, wildlife, and local economies. Their work spans across Cornwall, Devon, Somerset, and West Dorset, caring for rivers, streams, lakes, wetlands, and estuaries.
We were particularly keen this year to work with a charity focused on our environment and its impact on the health, well-being and economy of our region. This is because AmicusLaw are working really hard this year to improve our own green credentials and to generate momentum within our business for improvements in waste and resource management and carbon usage. We share the concerns that clients and colleagues have about our changing climate and our Charity of the Year provides a focus for us all and opportunities to learn and develop our own approach for the good of each other, our communities and the wider world.
Through this partnership, AmicusLaw Solicitors will support the Westcountry Rivers Trust in their mission to ensure healthy, resilient water ecosystems. We will engage in fundraising activities, volunteer our time, and raise awareness about the vital work they do.

For 30 years, this Charity has dedicated itself to the restoration and protection of freshwater environments across Cornwall, Devon, Somerset, and West Dorset. Their work is vital for both the natural world and the communities that depend on these resources.
Supporting Westcountry Rivers Trust helps protect biodiversity, ensuring that diverse species of plants, fish, and wildlife can thrive. Their efforts to improve water quality benefit human health, providing cleaner water for drinking, recreation, and agriculture. Furthermore, their initiatives help mitigate climate change by preserving wetlands and other natural carbon sinks.
Healthy rivers and freshwater bodies are essential to local economies, supporting agriculture, tourism, and recreation.
Their work directly enhances these economic benefits by maintaining vibrant and productive ecosystems.
Community engagement and education are also key aspects of their mission. They raise awareness and involve local people in conservation efforts, fostering a sense of stewardship for our natural resources.
Join us at AmicusLaw Solicitors in supporting Westcountry Rivers Trust. Together, we can protect our precious freshwater environments and ensure a sustainable future for all.

They have supported us for many years, they bring fun and enthusiasm to all our events and are a valued member of our Corporate Team.”

“Through the work of our National Road Victim Service, we see first-hand, every day, the carnage on our roads and the devastating effect of road crashes on families. It’s the support of organisations like AmicusLaw that make it possible for us to campaign for change. We’d like to thank them for supporting us and joining us as a Brake Supporter.”
