As a ‘people business’ we are only as good as the people we recruit, and their attitude to making sure our clients get the service they are seeking.

We are fortunate to have a fantastic team of lawyers and support staff in our Somerset and Devon offices in Bridgwater, Wellington, Minehead, Yeovil, Martock, and Exeter and continue to invest in legal and customer service training to ensure our standards remain second to none.

In this way, we continue to provide clients with the level of expertise and service associated with much bigger firms, but in a more personal way and without the associated ‘big firm’ costs. If you like our style and believe you would add value to our team please upload your CV. Direct candidates only please.

Hear from The Team About working at AmicusLaw

"Some of you reading this will think it’s a little farfetched and possibly even made up, but I can honestly say I love working for Amicus and I love my job.

I had always wanted to work in the Law industry but for various reasons never went on to study at college or university.

An opportunity came up for a receptionist in our Martock office and I thought “why not try”. After being offered the job and accepting it I became rather nervous due to having no experience within the law industry and thought everyone would be too “educated” to speak to someone unqualified.

How wrong was I.

Everyone you meet is friendly, down to earth and always happy to help. We’re one big happy work family.

I have very quickly progressed from receptionist to legal assistant and on the path to doing my CILEX training and I owe that to Amicus. When they see potential in their staff, they will do everything they can to help you achieve your goal."

"I’ve worked for a few different law firms throughout my career, and I’ve found that for me Amicus strikes the perfect balance of being a serious and competitive Law Firm but run by people that really care about their business and employees which in turn fosters a really fun and caring working environment. Both in my own development and in that of my colleagues, I have been overwhelmed by the care and attention the company puts into nurturing and developing staff through all stages of their careers and experience from the ground up.

When you are in the kind of firm where one of the directors will drive for an hour from another office to sit and man your reception desk for a few hours, purely so everyone can go out for a Christmas meal together, you know that you’re in the right place!"

A wonderful family feeling firm;

Makes you feel happy to come to work everyday;

In all departments you are aided in your work, helped and trained;

Caring and thoughtful to make sure all staff are thought about.

Unlimited smiles and always someone there to assist even if at end of phone;

Sensitive to me personally, as an individual.

Love my role, and ever-evolving never in a rut, chances always to progress.

Always busy and lots of work, but done with pride and appreciated by Partners;

Working for AmicusLaw is a passion not a job.

Working at AmicusLaw has given me a new sense of direction. Anytime my job challenges me, my effort is recognised and encouraged as I meet the challenge. My working environment is extremely motivating and rewarding and the opportunities I have been shown are inspiring.

I am grateful to be able to work in a firm dedicated to not only its work but also to its staff.
