We are pleased to announce the opening of our new Devon office, in Seaton, welcoming the team from Lyme Bay Law into Amicus this month.
As our third office in Devon and the eleventh office overall across the South West, this new office forms part of our long-term strategy to connect with – and deepen – our connections within local communities between Exeter and Weymouth.
Lyme Bay Law is a private client legal firm, managed by Elaine Gamwell, a highly experienced legal practitioner. The firm is renowned for offering a range of personal services including Wills and Probate, Powers of Attorney, Court of Protection, Severance of Joint Tenancy, and Elderly client financial management and care.
Elaine comments on the acquisition, “After over 25 years in practice and 14 years running my own business, I wanted to join a team whose approach to client service matched my own. Being part of a larger firm means that my clients can be offered a full range of personal and business legal services from a single point here in Seaton, and they can be confident that whatever their issue, they will receive the same high level of personal service from the full team.”
Claire Lovett, Managing Partner at Amicus Law, adds, “Welcoming Elaine and the team is an exciting time for our business as we further extend our presence across Devon, while complementing our existing expertise. Elaine has built an excellent reputation for her high-quality legal work and her genuine, personal approach with her clients, making this move a natural fit for us both.”
Lyme Bay Law’s office has been rebranded under the Amicus Law name with immediate effect. Elaine becomes an Associate at Amicus Law, bringing the total employees to 117, further reinforcing our position across Devon and the wider South West region.
We hope you’ll join us in welcoming Elaine and her team to the Amicus Law family, and we look forward to welcoming current and new clients through our new green doors in Seaton!
