Lauren Costelloe is a Solicitor at Amicus Law, based in the Ilminster office. Lauren began her legal career as a secretary during her final year at the University of Exeter, graduating with an LLB Law degree in 2022. She progressed through Paralegal and Trainee Solicitor roles while completing the SQE, qualifying as a Solicitor in November 2025.
Lauren supports individuals with a range of personal legal matters, including Wills, estate administration, and related affairs. She is known for her understanding and caring approach, particularly when discussing sensitive topics such as death, finances, and family relationships. Lauren believes in being honest and realistic with her clients, building relationships founded on trust and confidence.
Lauren was drawn to Amicus Law after hearing positive feedback from both staff and clients, and was keen to join a firm recognised for its growth and commitment to progression. She enjoys the variety her role offers, as every client and matter brings something different, from drafting a straightforward Will to managing more complex estate and tax issues.
Lauren has completed Dementia Friend training in 2024, reflecting her commitment to supporting clients with empathy and awareness.
Outside of work, Lauren enjoys taking her two sausage dogs on long walks, particularly along the South West Coast Path. She is also a keen runner, enjoys weight training at the gym, and values spending quality time with her fiancé.
