Senior Partner and Head of Private Client
David Satchell is AmicusLaw’s Senior Partner and Head of the Private Client Department.
David started out in general practice after having qualified with North West Regional Firm Russell & Russell in 1994, later moving to the South West in 2002 to specialise in Private Client work helping clients of all ages with Wills, Trusts, Estate Planning and Administration, Tax Mitigation, Lasting Powers of Attorney, Care Fees issues and applications to the Court of Protection.
David conducted the case of Miles & Beattie v The Public Guardian which was heard in the High Court and established important principles as to the acceptability of wordings in Lasting Powers of Attorney.
In his spare time David is a keen cyclist and recently completed a ride from Lands End to John O’Groats helping raise £20,000 for local charities.
Caroline is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Legal Executives. She is well respected for her diligence in all manner of residential property transactions and attracts a strong and loyal following of local people for whom she has acted for on repeated occasions over the past 25 years.
Caroline lives locally, enjoys travelling abroad with Italy as one of her favourite countries. She is a strong supporter of local businesses and events.
As a senior conveyancer and Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Legal Executives, Judith has experience in dealing with all aspects of residential conveyancing. Judith's professional and efficient manner has meant that many clients return to her and refer her to others. She has also established a good working relationship with many of the local agents and other advisers.
As a keen artist and member of a local art group she has exhibited her work locally.
Andrea qualified as a solicitor in 1998 and worked in and around her home county of Northamptonshire before moving to and settling in Somerset in 2010 with her young family. Andrea has a reputation with local agents for “getting the job done”. As well as helping you buy and sell your property, she can help you with extending your lease, granting and releasing easements and other residential property matters. Andrea spends her spare timing baking, horse riding and gardening.
As a Graduate Member of the Chartered Institute of Legal Executives Win-Yee works in our Conveyancing Team. She has gained over three years of experience in the real estate department and lives locally. She has recently completed her Cilex Level 6 Diploma in Law and Practice and wishes to go on to become a qualified Chartered Legal Executive.
Donna is a Paralegal within the Crime Team at AmicusLaw. Based in the South West Donna previously worked with the Crown Prosecution Service for 24 years, holding a number of positions including Crown Court Paralegal, Associate Prosecutor, and Paralegal Business Manager. Donna is very experienced in the preparation of criminal cases, court processes and working with Counsel. Donna joined AmicusLaw in September 2016.
Stephen Forsey is AmicusLaw's Managing Partner. Having originally qualified as a barrister in London he then went on to work as a Corporate Tax Lawyer at Wragge & Co in Birmingham before returning to the Southwest where he was born and grew up. Having returned to his roots he then ran a large regional multi office law firm before joining AmicusLaw in 2017.
