At Amicus Law, supporting the communities in which we live and work is an important part of who we are. Throughout the year, our teams take part in a variety of fundraising activities for our chosen Charity of the Year, and we are delighted to share the success of a recent event organised by our Ilminster team.
Thanks to the incredible generosity of local businesses and community members, our charity quiz night raised an impressive £1,041.25 for Children’s Hospice South West (CHSW).
Held at The Shrubbery Hotel in Ilminster, the quiz night brought together supporters from across the local community for an evening of friendly competition, fundraising and fun. The event was made even more special by the wonderful support shown by those who attended, donated, purchased raffle tickets and generously contributed raffle prizes.
We would like to extend our sincere thanks to The Shrubbery Hotel for hosting the event and helping to create such a welcoming atmosphere. Events like these simply would not be possible without the support of local venues and businesses that are willing to give their time and resources to support charitable causes.
We were also delighted to welcome Lucie Perryman from Children’s Hospice South West, who joined us on the evening. It was a fantastic opportunity to learn more about the impact CHSW has on the lives of children with life-limiting conditions and their families across the South West, and a reminder of exactly why fundraising efforts like these are so important.
Perhaps the most remarkable aspect of the evening was the level of community support. We were genuinely blown away by the number of people who attended, donated and contributed raffle prizes. The kindness and generosity shown by local businesses and residents helped make the event a huge success and enabled us to raise an incredible amount for a very worthwhile cause.
Children’s Hospice South West provides expert care and support for babies, children and young people with life-limiting conditions, as well as offering practical and emotional support to their families. The charity’s work makes a real difference to hundreds of families across the region, and every donation helps ensure these vital services remain available to those who need them most.
Everyone at Amicus Law would like to thank all those who supported the event in any way. Whether you attended the quiz, made a donation, contributed a raffle prize or helped spread the word, your support has helped make a meaningful difference.
Erin Darling-Finan, Head of the Ilminster Office at Amicus Law, said: “The support from our local community was incredible, and we are so grateful to everyone who attended the quiz, made a donation or generously provided a raffle prize. It was wonderful to see so many people come together for such an important cause. On behalf of the Ilminster team, I would like to thank The Shrubbery Hotel, Lucie Perryman and everyone who helped make the evening such a success. We were genuinely blown away by the generosity shown, and we are proud that these funds will help support the vital work Children’s Hospice South West carries out for local children and families.”
Raising £1,041.25 is a fantastic achievement, and one that would not have been possible without the generosity of our local community. Thank you for helping us support the incredible work of Children’s Hospice South West.
