Employment Claims
Slade De Lacey has represented Major Charles Milroy for five years and they won Milroy v MOD 2024 EMPLOYMENT TRIBUNALS (SCOTLAND) a case which recognised that the MOD should pay a pension to reservists and reservists who should be paid equally to full time military personnel. We have recently defended an appeal at the Edinburgh EAT by the MOD on 18-19 December. The Appeal was heard by the President of the Scottish and UK employment tribunals His Honour Lord Fairly. We are pleased to announce that the appeal was rejected by the Scottish EAT on all points and Lord fairly endorsed that the original ET decision was the correct decision. Noise-induced hearing loss (NIHL) if you have hearing loss and were not issued effective protective equipment to protect your hearing during military service whether in active duty or training exercises you may be able to seek compensation for your injuries.
