Richard is a highly experienced solicitor with over 25 years in private practice. While his early career focused on litigation, he now specialises in residential property matters, Wills, Lasting Powers of Attorney, and private trusts. He has a particular passion for helping clients with Will writing, ensuring their wishes are clearly understood and properly documented.
Known for his clear and client-focused approach, Richard takes time to explain legal matters in straightforward terms, empowering clients to make informed decisions with confidence.
Richard joined Amicus Law drawn by its client-centred ethos and collaborative environment. He values being part of a firm where he can call on colleagues across different specialisms to provide comprehensive support to clients in the Tiverton office.
Outside of work, Richard is a member and former chairman of the Mid Devon Business Network, and is actively involved with the Royal British Legion (South Molton) and AJEX. Away from the legal world, he enjoys life on his smallholding where he breeds Wiltshire Horn sheep and looks after Hutch, his chunky pony. A former Royal Marine, Richard is currently learning Italian (slowly!), and enjoys Park Runs and ballroom dancing.
